There will be a dance at the Wabedo Town hall on the old grade at the end of Little Boy Lake on May 26th, good floor, good meals, and a good time for all.
Henry Lego of Federal Dam left Monday for St. Paul for the summer.
The Remer band failed to appear last Sunday though a large crowd awaited them on the Longville village common.

May 14, 1948
Applicants for marriage licenses were Lures Omar Stangel, 24 to Patricia Louise O’Brien, 18 of Bena and Albert Lincoln McClimek, 22 to Dorothy Mae Stangel of Bena.
A picnic was held on Lake Louise last Thursday evening by a Sunday school group from Pine River and from Blind Lake.
The play “My Soldier Girl”, was presented by the high school GAA at the Boy River Hall Saturday night and was well attended.

The Goodin cabin on Wabedo Lake burned to the ground. This cabin was one of the Westmayer cabins at Wabedo Camp.

Remer’s Yard and Garden Club has purchased a refrigerator for the village hall and planted flowers in the park and in urns along main street.

The Southside 76 lost 10 digits to its name recently with a change to Southside 66, reflecting the petroleum products now being offered at the store.
Bill and Bonnie Hansen renovated their building on the main street of Longville and now have offices of Cygneture Title & Abstract and Eye Fashions Optical Shoppe.
A retirement dinner for Alice Daniels, Howard Prushek, and Tom Walters honoring their 61 years of dedicated service to Independent School District #118, will be held on May 20th at 7:00 at Patrick’s.
