   The Lake Washburn Association will hold its annual meeting Saturday, August 12 at the Crooked Lake Township Hall.

   Coffee and light refreshments will be available starting at 9:30 a.m. with the meeting beginning at 10:00 a.m. Attendees will be able to renew memberships, purchase a Lake Washburn history book or LWA baseball cap, drop off lead tackle and connect with friends and neighbors.

   The LWA Board and Committee Chairs will give brief reports and answer any questions members may have.

   A Minnesota DNR Loon Specialist will be the guest speaker discussing the Minnesota Loon Restoration Project. This program was created as a response to the Deepwater Horizon drilling disaster in 2010, and serves as an active partner with lake associations in loon conservation activities.
