   Keep up the summer fun by heading over to Hackensack for their last four days of the Sweetheart Days activities! This years theme, “Wildlife in Hackensack,” celebrates Deep Portage Learning Center’s 50th anniversary. 

   Tuesday, July 11 keeps the week’s events moving, starting off at 11 a.m. with the 25th Anniversary Kids Fishing Contest at the pier on Birch Lake, which will wrap up at 12:30 p.m. Go and get your face painted from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and then enjoy kids games in the park sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. At 5:30 p.m. the third annual pet parade begins with the Sweetheart Days Parade beginning at 6 p.m. 

   Wednesday’s activities start at 8 a.m. with a flea market and craft sale until 3 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church. The UCC Church is hosting a community meal from 4 - 5:30 p.m. followed by trivia night. The last event of the night is progressive bingo at the Legion at 6 p.m.

   On Thursday, July 13, head to the Legion for a raffle drawing at 5:30 p.m. followed by a meat raffle at 6.

   For the last day of Sweetheart Days on Friday, July 14, enjoy live music by Wingin’ It as part of the Lakeside Concert Series from 5 - 7 p.m., and after that wrap up the week with live music by Dallas at Birchwood Char House.
