The Ski Club of Trelipe met on Lonesome Pine Hill Sunday.
Doyle Toland is again driving the stage after a severe siege of pneumonia.
The Blind Lake dance was well attended on Saturday night and all report a good time.

January 30, 1948
Lavon Sumption, a 4-H member, won the State Championship in the 10 Ewe project. He raised 22 lambs from his flock of 10 ewes.
The Sullivans who recently purchased Duff’s Resort on Boy Lake arrived the first of this week.
Johnny Tabaka returned from Minneapolis where he spent several days learning
the manipulation of his new artificial foot.

February 1, 1973
A fire destroyed the interior of Mentzer’s Auto Sales in Hackensack. Owner Lyle Gehrke and a worker escaped without injury.
The Remer Fire Department was called to the Jerry Norwood home to combat a chimney fire. The siren wouldn’t work, so they drove around the town with the fire truck sirens blowing to alert the firemen.
The Twite family who recently bought the Hamlin place on Blackwater Lake spent the weekend romping in the snow and skating.

The old Remer Soo Line Depot may be restored. The Remer Area Civic & Commerce Assoc. is proposing to acquire the old potato warehouse and demolish it, remove fuel and sewer tanks, landscape and add light for parking.
January offered 10 to 12 days of below zero temperatures and 13.5 inches of snow.
Thanks to the efforts of the Longville Lakes Sno-Mobile Club members, 18 students passed their DNR qualified program on Lake Nellie, adjacent to the school forest.
