When Marion Hausken of Longville was recently shopping at Tossed and Found Boutique she came across an antique roll top desk that would fit nicely in her home. Upon getting it situated at home, she found, tucked away in one of the cubby holes, a handwritten letter written by a man named Michael Ray..., last name unreadable, or something close to this - dated Monday, November 23, 2009.
“When a person has tie to just sit down for a while, and not care about anything, what wonders through their head? You start to appreciate or maybe it’s you start to see everything that most or almost all people just walk by and not take notice or listen to. Besides hunting or you could say just being up at the cabin. It seems that most people just let life fly past them - few people stop to listen to birds or hear the kids at the park. When is the last time you just stared at the sky at anytime? Maybe you’ve seen the stars or maybe you just watched the clouds float by. I could write for hours upon this simple idea but I’m tired and doubt anyone will see this, and if they do - well I’ll be 100 years old and won’t remember writing this.”
