December 20, 1923
The Brevik planing mill has been running as of late with work being done for a Minneapolis man and some of the neighbors getting flooring made up.
Fred Hemsted and another young man were seen cruising around in Wabedo last week. Better be careful as this is neither hunting nor muskrat season.
There will be a Christmas program at the Inguadona Church on the 26th of December.

Wally Probst brought Leslie Shepard’s team of horses home from the saw mill camp where they had been working.
Muriel and Iver Lien and Marilyn Welk spent a few days in Fargo the past week.
About 100 fishermen were out on Girl Lake Sunday enjoying the winter sport.

December 20, 1973
Vernon Zarnes of Swanville was in Longville Wednesday and Thursday visiting friends. He is a former teacher.
On Thursday a group of the Men’s Fellowship of the Congregational church went out to Semotucks and helped them in preparation of their new home.
There was never a Christmas morning or even an old year ends, that someone doesn’t think of old times and old friends.

Merwin Chambers was born May 4, 1928 in Longville to Howard and Pauline Chambers. He was a graduate of Longville High School and a US Army veteran. He died December 14th.
Owner of Longville Builder’s Supply Terry Daudt received a Most Improved Retailer award. Daudt purchased the store after the spring fire in 1995.
The City of Federal Dam expressed its gratitude to all those involved in providing their time, labor, and funds in the construction of a new skating rink.
