The Longville Area Community Foundation recently awarded a grant in the amount of $2,000 to the Loving Hands Quilt Club. This funding will be used to help cover the costs of fabric, batting, and sewing supplies needed to make quilts this winter. Quilts made by this group are distributed to individuals in need through local law enforcement, fire and rescue, emergency medical personnel, the Food Shelf and others, spreading warmth and love during Minnesota’s cold winter. The LACF awards scholarships to area students for post-secondary education and awards grants to area nonprofits.
