41st Annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway
The thunder from 11,000 horsepower dragsters and funny cars returned to Brainerd International Raceway Aug. 17-20 for the 41st annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals. Funny Car driver Ron Capps captured his 75th career final round victory taking over the points lead from Matt Hagen. Top Fuel Dragster winner Antron Brown captured his second victory for the season defeating Leah Pruett and closing the gap between himself, Steve Torrence and points leader Justin Ashley.

Top Fuel: Antron Brown, 3.715 seconds, 326.08 mph def. Leah Pruett, 3.757 seconds, 331.12 mph.
Funny Car: Ron Capps, Toyota Supra, 3.887, 332.75 def. Robert Hight, Chevy Camaro, 3.900, 324.90.
Pro Stock: Dallas Glenn, Chevy Camaro, 6.566, 207.56 def. Kyle Koretsky, Camaro, 11.229, 78.42.

The next stop for racers is Indianapolis for the U.S. Nationals, the last race of the regular season. The fields will then be set for the six-race playoffs.
