Artists, Authors and Community

By By Lynn VanAllen | Comments: 0 | Leave a comment

Northwoods Arts Council’s Annual Art and Book Festival was held in Hackensack on August 12, and it did not disappoint. The caliber of authors and artists sharing their work, creations and stories was a testament to the time and effort put in by this dedicated non-profit organization. Everyone in Hackensack should proudly spread the word that WE have “the longest running art and literature event in Minnesota”. It is an incredible time to experience our lovely town. We are very proud of everything we have to offer, including the obvious vibes of community spirit, pride and volunteerism. Those of you who were there, we hope the experience will remain in your memories as one filled with beauty, intellect, happiness, and energy, and you make plans to attend next year.  Sincere appreciation to the Five Wings Arts Council, Hackensack Lions, Mark’s Market, Nei Bottling, Sacred Heart Church, Hackensack Lumber and Hardware, Trosen Electric and all the area businesses, non-profits and our amazing volunteers for their support, whether financially or in kind. It takes a village. Hope to see you all again on August 10, 2024. Photo By Jerry Eklund.
