Remer Ambulance recognizes Carol Kloehn’s retirement
The Remer Area Ambulance service (RAAS) is accepting Carol Kloehn’s retirement as an EMT after serving 33 years. She was in the very first First Responder course offered by RAAS in January 1990. CPR was being taught that night. Carol tells the story that the very next morning, her neighbor called stating her husband wasn’t breathing. Will the skills learned just hours earlier, she was able to revive him. She was hooked!

Carol was voted by her peers as Remer Area Ambulance Service “EMT of the Year” in 2004.
Carol says, “I am blessed to have worked with such a skilled and dedicated team!”
RAAS wishes Carol the best in her retirement, and she will be missed. Dedicated people like Carol that live in the outlying service area to respond from home, in their personal car loaded with equipment to the patient’s place of emergency and start care until the ambulance arrives for transport are needed.
