The Telephone Company met at Longville, and it was decided to have E.S. Holman disconnect the Wabedo and Blind Lake line from Pine River. Merchants there were not paying their share.
Miss Margaret Olson closed her school in the Jasmer district and is now visiting her sister.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hawkinson moved from Federal Dam to Bena where he owns a garage.

April 30, 1948
Mr. and Mrs. Knott have rented the Lundgren house which was formerly owned by Marie White. Mr. Knott is working at the Dairy.
Charley Taylor and William Monroe have gone to Waukegan, Ill where they have employment. Leo Whitebird left for Mason City, Iowa and will drive back a small truck for Doc’s Lodge on Leech Lake.
Mr. Lehman, a well driller, has been putting in a well at the Berger store and at the E.H. Atwood home at Brevik.

Ed and Helen Lask returned to Longville from out West and again have the Donut Shop open for business.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tweder and Kay Blais helped Mark Blais celebrate his 12th birthday on Wednesday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Welk became the parents of a son, Brent James on Easter Sunday.

Clifford White (April 20, 1918 - April 29, 1998) was in the Navy for 6 years and was in Hawaii when Pearl Harbor was bombed. He and his wife had 7 children. He worked at the Super Valu Warehouse in Hopkins for 27 years before retiring to Longville in 1980.
The Longville Volunteer Fire Department’s 2nd annual walleye feed what held at the fire hall with over 200 eaters.
T.J. Stangel won the 80-85 pound weight class at the Minnesota Kid Wrestling Tournament April 18th in St. Paul. He’s the son of Todd Stangel and Cindy Mayville.
