Visit DFL-endorsed candidates at meet and greet Sept. 22

   Pine River-area residents will have an opportunity to meet their local DFL candidates at an informal “meet and greet” session to be held Thursday, Sept. 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Bites Grill and Bar at 2793 State 371 SW, Pine River. 

   Five DFL-endorsed candidates for U.S. Congress and Minnesota State House and Senate seats will be on-hand to answer questions and talk about issues important to the area. Candidates scheduled to attend include:

   • Jen Schultz (Congressional District 8)

   • Steve Samuelson (MN Senate District 6) 

   • John Peters (MN Senate District 5) 

   • Rick Blake (MN House District 6A) 

   • Brian Hobson (MN House District 5A)

    The event is free and open to the public.  Light refreshments will be served. No registration is required.

   Another meet-the-candidate event will occur on Sunday, Sept. 25 from 2-5 p.m. at Fritz Loven Park, 7877 Ridge Road, in Lake Shore, MN. Candidates scheduled to attend are Rick Blake, Brian Hobson and John Peters, who is the Minnesota Senate District 5 candidate.
