Crash claims Remer teen
A teen died in the early morning Sunday, Sept. 18, when his car rolled over on Highway 200 in Lima Township.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Buick Century driven by Ronald James Day, 17, of Remer, was traveling westbound on Highway 200, straightened out in a slight curve going off the roadway to the right. The Buick struck the road approach, going airborne, landing sideways and rolling. Day was not belted at the time and was ejected. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the site of the crash. The air bag was not deployed and road conditions were wet at the time of the crash.
