Longville Area Community Foundation Seeks New Board Members

   The Longville community offers us many great events and services that enhance our way of living and attract customers to our businesses.  These experiences are the result of partnerships between the City, the surrounding townships and multiple organizations made up of friends and neighbors.  The Longville Area Community Foundation invests in the greater Longville area by awarding grants for environmental projects, the arts, and health and safety programs while contributing to community engagement.  The results are all around us every day!  From the service of the Longville Fire Department to Music in the Park, from the Skating Rink and snowmobile trails to the Food Shelf, Community Garden and numerous other projects, the results of partnership can be seen.  In addition, the Community Foundation provides scholarships for local graduates to attend trade schools and college.  Our Longville Area Community Foundation volunteers work continuously to enrich our lifestyle.

   This fall The Longville Area Community Foundation is seeking additional individuals to serve on its Board of Directors and support the continuation of these wonderful activities and programs.   Beginning in January 2023, new board members will join monthly meetings – either in person or via Zoom.  Foundation Board meetings include a review of the Foundation’s finances and address grant and scholarship applications.   Individuals who are interested in serving on the LACF Board of Directors may contact Colleen Moravek at 612-749-4777 or [email protected].

   Grants and scholarships are funded via annual tax deductible family membership donations of $50.00 per household and through additional generous donations from the many families who call Longville “home.” Membership information and grant applications are available on the Foundation website (www.longvillefoundation.org
