Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch reports that on Monday, September 5th 2022 at 3:11 PM, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an off-road vehicle crash with injury on the Emily-Outing “B” Trail in Beulah Township, rural Outing. Responders and Deputies arrived at the rural scene and learned that a group of OHV riders were travelling on the trail and came upon a 2015 Polaris Ranger side by side that had partially rolled over on the trail, trapping the driver inside the machine. The group of riders was able to free the victim from the machine and immediately initiated lifesaving efforts. Lifesaving efforts continued on-scene with EMS personnel; however, the victim, an adult female, age 56 of Fort Meyers Florida, was pronounced deceased on scene. The victim was the lone occupant of the machine and was travelling alone. An autopsy is scheduled with the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office and the investigation continues.

Assisting at the scene were Outing Quick Response, Crooked Lake Fire Department, Remer Ambulance, Crosby Ambulance and North Memorial Air Care.
