The Longville Area Food Shelf kicks off Give to the Max Day
Minnesotans are known for their generosity, so it’s no surprise we dedicate 24 hours of giving to nonprofits statewide. The Longville Area food shelf is a non-profit, charitable organization that distributes food to those who have difficulty purchasing enough to avoid hunger.
Hunger is at an all-time high in our community right now, but together, we can provide a solution. The Longville Area Food Shelf offers a wide range of grocery items for anyone in our community who needs a helping hand. However, to provide that helping hand, we need your support. By the end of the year, we need to raise $5,000 to purchase grocery items and ensure everyone who comes through our doors is fed. We believe that everyone, regardless of their situation should be treated with dignity and be able to have access to food that is nutritious. The most requested item at the Longville Area Food Shelf is fresh produce. This is an item that we purchase since it rarely gets donated. With your donation of $25 or more by midnight on November 17th, we can respond to the specific needs of our neighbors and ensure they have access to the food they need to live happy and healthy lives.
