Winter classes for kids from Happy Dancing Turtle

   Happy Dancing Turtle is offering classes for four- and five-year-olds to learn about sustainability and nature appreciation. Beginning Monday, December 12 and continuing for four other Mondays through February 27, 2023, the Tiny Turtles program offers four- and five-year-olds time to explore the natural world around them at the Hunt Utilities Group Resilient Living Campus.

   “We learn about plants, animals and their habitats, and what happens outdoors in the cold winter months! Kids will make snow forts, sculptures, ‘paint’ the snow, look for animal tracks and much more! Classes are held entirely outdoors, barring extreme cold, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. each class date,” said Program Coordinator Michelle Hoefs. “Kids must be dressed for the weather each day, so full winter gear with boots, coats, snow pants, hats and gloves or mittens.” Session dates will be December 12, January 9 and 23, February 13 and 27. Fee is $25 per child.
