The ladies of the Welfare Society served a picnic dinner to the men who worked cleaning up the cemetery on Tuesday.
A cement walk is being made in front of the new garage and Harry Thorsen’s store.
A.J. Craig and family visited at the home of Jack Brennen of Hackensack on Sunday.

May 30, 1947
Miss Mary Jane Beaman died at the age of 91. She came to Remer with her sister, Jane E. Schneider’s family.
Longville extends a welcome to Mr. and Mrs. Hardy and daughter of Illinois who are the new owners of Sarajac Lodge, which they purchased from Fosters and Devlin.
Edward Lundgren, born in Sweden in 1870, came to the US as a small child. He married Laura Polsfuss and they moved to Longville in 1911, where he remained until his death on May 18th.

May 25, 1972
Donna Marie Eckman , age 21, died May 9th. She was the daughter of Donald and Evelyn Eckman.
Business at Woodrow township was a discussion on the proposed town hall. Everyone was asked to be sure and vote on the June 6th ballot.
Longville mayor, Pat Sartell, delivered a proclamation to pay tribute to all military veterans this Veterans’ Day.

George, Terry, Joe, Stephanie and Jason welcome Jed William’s friends to his graduation open house to their home on Big Sand lake in Remer.
Margaret Welch Librarian Nodie Shepard received a check from the VFW Post 772 to go toward the building fund.
