Longville Area Community Foundation reflects on 2021

   Last year was a big year for the Longville Area Community Foundation. The Foundation committed over $50,000.00 in scholarships and grants to benefit the Longville community and surrounding townships. 

   The following organizations benefited from LACF support:

   • Longville Fire Department

   • Longville Area Community Garden

   • Eagle Scout Carter Magnus (for Community Garden project)

   • Longville Area Food Shelf

   • YMCA Camp Olson

   • Toys for Kids (Women of Today)

   • Longville Arts Alliance

   • Longville Community Choir

   • Second Harvest Food Bank Backpack Program

   • WHA Late Bussing

   • Longville Chamber of Commerce 

   In addition to awarding grants to local non-profit organizations, the LACF awarded scholarships to graduating high school seniors and to continuing scholars in university and trade school educational programs. Proceeds from the LACF endowment funds also helps maintain the local parks. 

   Also in 2021, the Foundation hosted a Community Picnic in July and a holiday gala fundraiser in December. The picnic was catered by The Woodpile and served over 185 meals (a record) and the gala generated a record profit – all of which is returned to the community in the form of grants and scholarships. Month after month the LACF invests in the greater Longville community by awarding grants and scholarships that enhance education, environmental projects, the arts, and health and safety programs.

   The Board of Directors of the LACF extends a huge public thank you to the many generous members of our community who support the Foundation’s efforts with their memberships and donations. A family membership is only $50.00 per year and 100% of these funds are re-invested in the community. Membership information is available at www.longvillefoundation.org.
