Turtle races week 2 is in the books

   Longville Is A Destination....no one comes here by accident ! There is no Highway 371 providing tourists who might stop by. And, we are ok with that! The people who come to Longville come here..on purpose. And everyone has a story about that. If you ask someone you meet at the Turtle races, or in the grocery store or at Church..they all have stories..and all of them are sentimental. Their grandparents have a place here, they came up during college with a buddy at his/her folks place. Their parents brought them to one of our lovely resorts as kids...it goes on and on. Delicious!

   Speaking of stories, the grandparents and moms and dads tell us they came to the races as kids. We have even had engagements here..with the kneel, ring and the whole thing !!

   The turtle races were great this week, as usual. Lots and lots of dancing and hooping. John, our announcer, was having such a grand time teasing our guests, that we couldn’t do all of our dances. But his teasing the audience was worth it!! That means we have more coupons to give out next week...when we are expecting a record crowd..with the 4th of July coming right up!! No worries, we have plenty of goodies for everyone. 

   So, besides our World Champion Turtle Races, you know we have a fantastic Community park with tons of things for the kids to crawl on and hang from, a fabulous library, an airport that can handle small jets, a Community garden with a walking track and dog park, a clinic and pharmacy, a fabulous volunteer fire department,  and lots of fine businesses ready to take care of your every need.

   Longville a destination? You Bet!!! We’ll take good care of you. See you at the races.
