June 9, 1922
Litle Goldie Beard of Pine Lake Township was accidentally shot and killed on Saturday morning. The little one had been playing with a cartridge belt and somehow she bumped a loaded gun nearby causing it to fall and fire.
J. A. Cassidy, Frank Kuner, D. Spence, Grant W. Roberts and S. F. Blackburn, all of Backus, were in Walker Monday.
Singer Sewing Machine agents were in this vicinity this week doing business for the company.

Boy River high school graduates are Ella Mae Campbell, Patrick Geary, Alda Hare, Donovan Hare, Raymond Johnson, Ralph “Lanky” Livingston, Joseph Neururer, John Sonju, and William Sonju.
Cecil Carpenter and Keith Likens are starting a cement block business on the Carpenter property south of Longville.
June Showalter is assisting at Brookman’s Linden Beach on Lake Inguadona.

Myles Olson is the first manager of the new Leech Lake Reservation Marina and Recreation Complex at Onigum.
Mabel McKeig went to Walker on Thursday to help clean the Pioneer School and attended a meeting of the school board.
Myrtle Stefan and Thelma Scully were honored at a retirement party as they are retiring from the faculty of the Northland High School after many years of service.

Hanna’s Bakery & Deli opened this spring in Remer in the Evergreen Plaza building ½ mile south of the Junction of Highways 6 and 200. Julie Mattson, owner is working on getting a new sports bar in operation, L.J.’s Club Car Sports Bar, next door to Hanna’s.
A big Thank You from the Quonset Hut to everyone that helped us celebrate our 5th anniversary. We’ve had a great five years here in Remer.
