Stone bead necklace take-and-make kits by Tom Kulju at the Longville Library
Local artist and flint knapper Tom Kulju has put together a limited number of stone bead necklace take-and-make kits available at the Margaret Welch Memorial Library in Longville. Using the contents supplied in this complete kit, which includes a stone bead, leather necklace & wire, along with simple items from home including a pencil, needle nose pliers and wire cutters, you can make a beautiful natural stone bead necklace. Written instructions along with photo illustrations make this project easy and fun. It’s art you can wear! Kits are appropriate for teens to adults and will be available for pick up at the library beginning August 2 while supplies last. Library hours are Tues., Thurs. and Sat. 10-2, Wed. and Fri. 1-5.
This free Legacy Program is funded in part or in whole with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008 which dedicated funding to preserve Minnesota’s art and cultural heritage.
