July 21, 1922
On July 6, 1922, L. A. Snell, E. R. Sherman, A. M. Anderson, Albert Snell, and Harvey Camp, representing Homestead #6122, Yeoman Lodge of America, and Foote Brothers sold the buildings and equipment thereon to the Village of Boy River.
Pine Mountain Lodge No. 200 I.O.O.F will hold its annual picnic at Ten Mile Lake next Sunday.
Noebel Goettel and wife and Lee Bruce of Omaha with guide Charles Pion, have just returned from a seven-day outing at the Bilben cottage on the south of Bear Island.

Friends gathered to bid the Shaw family farewell. He has been Boy River school superintendent for the past 5 years.
Howard Ganz is building three new cabins on his Blackwater Lake resort near Pontoria. Art Hart and Lee Clodfelter are helping him.
Quite a number of people from Federal Dam attended the carnival held at Bena on Monday and Tuesday.

July 13, 1972
Geri Sartell was honor guest at a bridal shower at the Arnie Seastedt home, The hostess, Barbara, served a delicious lunch.
The Chippewa National Forest streamlines Ranger Districts; headquarter operators will no longer be located at Bena, Cut Foot Sioux or Remer.
Mrs. Peter De Boer and Mrs. Bob Koons were honored with a pink and blue shower held at the Congregational Church at Longville.

The Longville Ambulance service introduced its new truck at the July 4th celebration.
Chief designer Hedy Waddell and 25 other art students at Northland High will paint a mural that depicts Remer as it appeared in the early 1940s.
Boy Lake township will hold their 4th annual potluck picnic on July 26th at the Boy Lake town hall.
