Focus on nutrition is topic for CRMC’s Virtual Cancer Support Group

   Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Registered Dietitian Johnna Christenson will lead an open forum about nutrition at CRMC’s Virtual Cancer Support Group on Thursday, Jan. 20, from 12 to 1 p.m.

   Christenson will focus on getting back to healthy habits after the holidays. Topics will include enjoying celebrations and the food while they are happening but getting back on track with normal habits afterward. She will also discuss how to include more physical activity during cold winter months and things that can be done to promote a healthy mindset.

   People who are newly diagnosed with cancer, undergoing treatment or post treatment and their significant others are invited. The group is an opportunity to share experiences and support one another, to listen and learn.

   Virtual Cancer Support Group meetings are held the third Thursday of each month with a new topic each month. Registration for the support group is not required and there is no cost to attend.
