The Bide-a-wee Inn is having an electric light plant installed.
Ralph Manders received first prize at the poultry show at Walker last week. John P. Toland also won a first prize in several categories.

Clarice Brown, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. William Brown of Remer, became the bride of Carl Nicklason, son of Mrs. and Mrs. G. Nicklason of Remer on February 7th.
Mrs. B. Churchill substituted for Mrs. Len Tabaka at the Longville High School this week.
Arthur Morrow, Seaman Second Class, son of Mrs. and Mrs. John Morrow of Federal Dam, is serving aboard the destroyer USS Goodrich.

Feb. 17, 1972
Bart Buelow, brother of Greg Buelow of the Musky House in Longville, has been drafted into the Vikings football team.
Last Saturday night a party was held for Greg Renn of Remer who is entering the service.
George Koenig, born in 1895, served his country in WWI as a runner of messages on the front line. He died February 2nd.

Mia Peterson, Northland High School Varsity Basketball guard, scored her 1,000th point of February 6th.
Dan Holmdahl recently graduated from UMD with a Bachelor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and a minor in Math.
A Cass County feller named Green, climbed a ladder to put on a screen. When up near the top, he let the thing drop; and it hit him right square on his “bean.”
