Feb. 10, 1922
School at Trelipe was closed last week on account of diphtheria in the settlement. The Klein family has been having quite a siege of diphtheria but are all on the road to recovery now.
A rumor is afoot that Abe Thomas has sold his sawmill.
T. J. Welsh broke up his road camp at Hackensack last Saturday, so Mr. Welsh brought his teams home to his Northland Farm at Leech Lake on Monday.

Feb. 7, 1947
Boy River High School played basketball with Remer High School and Boy River won.
A baby boy, Richard, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Roy Slagle of Longville at the Itasca hospital on January 31st.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Carlson have moved from Lake Wabedo to Mrs. F. Nyvall’s cabin in Longville.
Agnes Scherman and Orin “Ole” Henderson were married on February 1st.

Mrs. Helen Hanson, former owner of Lowe’s Resort on Thunder Lake and Walter Bartels were married on Jan. 3rd at Sioux City, IA.
Orv Rosenberry of Walker called on his mother, Eleanor Ford, on Saturday.

Glen Lovegreen, age 53 of Pequot Lakes, died January 23 at his home. He was born to Glenwood and Lilly (Ford) Lovegreen in Longville. He graduated from Pine River HS.
Deep snow and severe winter conditions prompts the DNR to increase monitoring and to begin planning for a possible emergency feeding program later this winter.
A unanimous vote of nearly 100 people ensures Salem Lutheran Church will proceed with the building of a new church.
