Backus American Legion donates to Legacy Fund

Backus American Legion Post 368 welcomed the Minnesota Legacy Run Riders on August 23. The Backus Sons of the American Legion provided a free breakfast, while the Backus Post Commander Brad Taylor, presented a $1,000 donation to the Legacy Fund to Jody Hassing, Chairperson for the MN Legacy Scholarship Run. In total, as of August 23rd, the Legacy Run in Minnesota has collected over $95,000 and they have more stops before delivering their final donation. The Legacy Scholarship is a fund established by the American Legion to provide scholarships to assist children of veterans in single-parent households attend post-secondary education. Photo Submitted.
