The Longville Hotel owned by Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Carpenter was sold this week to Mr. and Mrs. George Garner, Carpenters moved to their farm at Lake Inguadona.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Fuhrman and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fuhrman left for California having disposed of the Red & White grocery store. George Hedin is the new owner.
Norman Dauber, appointed assessor of Blind Lake Twp., went to a meeting with Leslie Beals, the supervisor.

Several from Federal Dam and Boy River took advantage of the clinic that was held at the schoolhouse.
The Youth Choir of the Congregational Church at Longville had their swimming party at Quadna Mountain on Saturday.
Kaye E. Snell of Federal Dam was named to the Dean’s List at Moorhead State College for the winter quarter.

Longville Elementary school acquires a school forest in the Nellie Lake area just west of Longville. Eighty acres of land has been designated by the DNR School Forest Program.
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency recognized outstanding performance by Chuck Ratz, Waste Water Treatment Operator for the city of Longville.
Emmett Dean Brown was born November 18, 1927 at Remer to Ben and Emma (Nordean) Brown. He graduated from RHS and served in the army during WWII. In 1955 he bought the Mobil Station which he operated until selling in 1967.
