Let the Christmas season begin

The Longville Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual tree lighting will be held Saturday in Longville. The lighting of the town tree is the start of many special events hosted by business and organizations, as well as friendly, helpful, hometown shopping for those must have Christmas gifts. Free photos with Santa will be held at Patrick’s from 3 to 4:30 p.m.  Horse-drawn wagon rides, hotdogs, hot chocolate and cookies next to the bonfire on Main St. from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Christmas carols begin at 5 p.m. followed by the tree lighting at 5:20 p.m. File photo.
