Longville Area Community Foundation Holiday Gala returns this year

The Longville Area Community Foundation has a rich history of raising funds for our community, with the Holiday Gala being the primary fundraiser. During the business shut downs of 2020 the LACF Board got creative and produced the first-ever Virtual Gala which was an overwhelming success! The generosity of our members and supporters helped the Foundation continue its mission.

In 2021, as businesses have opened with limited or modified services, the LACF has explored options toward an effort to gather together to celebrate the holidays and continue to raise funds for the work of the Foundation. With the encouragement of the community, the LACF invites you to attend a reimagined, in person Holiday Gala 2021 on December 11 at 5:30 p.m at Patrick’s on Girl Lake.

This year’s event will include a flexible format involving a social hour, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and raffles. You may come for some of the event or all of it. Arrive late, leave early, wear a mask and/or socially distance – whatever meets your comfort level, you are welcome. If you plan to attend in person, please reserve your spot no later than November 11. Ticket prices are $30.00 per person for Members and $40.00 per person for Non-Members. Reservations may be made by calling Terry Fay at 218-363-3825.

Because safety guidelines continue to change and not everyone is yet prepared to meet in person, this year’s Gala offers several ways to engage without attending. Those who cannot attend in person can still celebrate and support the Foundation. In lieu of attending, please consider making a year-end donation equal to the cost of a ticket and drinks. Additionally, raffle tickets for prizes are available in advance at Arrowhead Builders Supply, the Docksider and the Longville Lakes Bottle Shop. And, lastly, a mail-in order form listing raffle prize options is available on the LACF website (http://www.longvillefoundation.org) to order and purchase tickets for assorted prizes.

The LACF Board wishes a joyous Holiday season to the entire Longville community. It is our deepest wish that in 2022 we can truly toss aside the masks and return to handshakes, hugs, and life’s most treasured experiences.

The Longville Area Community Foundation awards grants and scholarships that enhance education, environmental projects, the arts and health and safety programs. More information about the Foundation is available at www.longvillefoundation.org.
