Dennis J. Schloeder

   Dennis J. Schloeder, age 85, of Remer, MN passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at St. Cloud Hospital.

   Dennis was born in 1936 to Martin and Elizabeth (Theis) Schloeder in Richmond, MN. He graduated from Eden Valley High School in 1953. Following graduation, Dennis enlisted in the Unites States Army and served until his honorable discharge in 1958. Dennis and Marie Tschumperlin were united in marriage on February 15, 1958, in Eden Valley, MN. Dennis worked on the family farm in Richmond before moving to California for a time to work as a carpenter. Dennis and Marie moved back to Minnesota and settled in Rockford where he worked as a carpenter for Ramwest and in real estate. Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting, road trips and spending time with his family.

   Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Art and Peter; and sister, Mary Lou Schloeder.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie; daughters, Denise (Richard) Merz of Delano, MN, Audrey (Dean) Zahler of Big Lake, MN, Mariam (John) Anderson of Hollister, CA, Valerie (Frank) Loebig of San Jose, CA; son, Robert (Juli) Schloeder of Buffalo, MN, Hank (Mary) Tschumperlin of Longville, MN; sister, Joan (Al) Yanish; brother, Martin (Adeline); 12 grandchildren, Peter, Paul, and Eric Merz, Jennifer and Westley Zahler, Dewayne and Derrick Anderson, Austin, Alayna, Brian, Lexa, and Owen Schloeder; and ten great grandchildren, Beau, Colby, Brayden, Danielle, Valentina, Alice, Emma, Grant, Kate, and Anna.

   Visitation will be Friday, September 3, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Remer, MN, followed by the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial and military honors. Fr. Keith Bertram will officiate.
