   A day after a much needed three-inch rain, 17 members and one guest of the LongBow Ladies Golf League teed off Wednesday, August 2, 2023.  The game of the day was called LongBow Waltz.  The game scoring is one best net on Par 5s, two best nets on Par 4s, and three best nets on Par 3s.

   The team scoring the fewest net points was Louise Hay, Jeanne Major, Missy Schoen, and Laura Varner with 121 points.  The second-place team included Dianne Larson, Suzie Mandsager, Ginny Muller and Lynn Reinertson with 123 points.

   Low gross for the day was a 92 carded by Pat Roush.  Dianne Larson had low net with a 70.

   Hope Olson chipped in for a birdie on the Par 5 Hole 6.

   Must have been August Dog Days reducing participation for weekly play in the LongBow Ladies Golf League on August 9, 2023.

   Twelve members played simple stroke play and were divided into three flights for weekly prizes.  They were:

   Flight 1: Pat Roush had low gross with a 90. Hope Olson netted 69. Flight 2: MJ Black had 100 strokes for low gross and a low net of 68. Flight 3: Low gross and low net were made by Dianne Larson with a 112 and 76, respectively.

   MJ Black  and Kim McDonald chipped in on Hole 2 and Hole 10, respectively, both for a par.

   Dianne Larson made the Longest Putt on Hole 6, while  Kathy Newton birdied from four feet, which was also closest to the pin on Hole 15.
